3.   Mother To Take MMR Case To Court Of Human Rights.

A mother is fighting to prove the MMR vaccine triggered her daughter’s health problems and is taking her case to the European Court of Human Rights. Mrs Stephen, a former psychiatric nurse, says the European court is the only way to further her case against GlaxoSmithKline even though she was refused legal aid for the action on the grounds not enough children were affected. A GlaxoSmithKline spokeswoman said that it would be inappropriate to comment on individual cases that were subject to legal proceedings.

4.  Pharma Doctor Kickbacks Reined In By Massachusetts Law.

The Massachusetts legislature has just passed a precedent-setting law imposing strict limits on the most unethical aspects of pharmaceutical marketing--i.e., cash kickbacks to doctors. Sen. "Can a vitamin kill you?" asks the Montreal Gazette. The Journal of Orthomolecular Medicine reviews the anti-vitamin article published by that newspaper. Where are the bodies? There aren't any. 6.  New Animal Study - Vitamin C Jabs Help Treat Cancer.

Injections of vitamin C help treat cancer is the suggestion from a new study in mice. The researchers injected immune-deficient mice with cells from three aggressive human cancers – ovarian and pancreatic tumours, plus a form of brain cancer called glioblastoma – and found that vitamin C injections slowed tumour growth by up to 53%. Trials are already under way to test similar injections in people.
